IMNHC2023 Doris Mollel A beauty queen born prematurely

Doris Mollel didn’t know that she was born prematurely until she needed a cause to pursue as a beauty queen. Since her mum broke the news to her in 2015, she has dedicated her time to helping raise awareness about a phenomenon that is considered a curse in many societies especially in Africa. Doris spoke to ManoReporters on the sidelines of the just concluded International Maternal Newborn Health Conference 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa about her campaign as part the Born Too Soon global movement, how it’s impacting lives in Tanzania and what the rest of Africa and the world can lend from it their experience.
