The Global Vaccine Alliance or GAVI has been at the forefront of efforts to protect Sierra Leone’s population from vaccine preventable diseases through its financial support via partners like Unicef and local organizations. One such local organization is FOCUS 1000, which has worked with the Ministry of Health to reach some of the most hard-to-reach communities in the country with vaccines.
