Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has outline four key areas his government will focus on in 2025 as part of the implementation of his government’s development plan – the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development-AAID).

Boakai in his New Year message said they will focus on strengthening of the economy by creating job opportunities, supporting small businesses, and ensuring equitable resource distribution. He also said they will seek to enhance education and healthcare,

Promote transparency and accountability, and seek to foster unity and reconciliation.

“Together, we have laid a foundation for a Liberia that emphasizes inclusivity, compassion, peace, and a collective pursuit of prosperity,” the President said in a statement shared via his official social media platforms.

Boakai spent the New Year in Tubmanburg, Bomi County, northwestern Liberia.

In his message, he assured that his administration remains steadfast in addressing the issues that mattered the most to Liberians, with a focus on the ARREST Agenda, a development blue print he campaigned on in 2023.

Boakai appealed to public officials to serve with integrity and humility and to prioritize the needs of the Liberian people. He also spoke on the need to uproot corruption in governance.

“Together, we must confront complacency, eliminate corruption, and ensure that every decision reflects the collective good,’ he said.

The Liberia leader singled out young people and women, promising to provid them the enabling environment to realize their dreams.
