Sierra Leone embarks on Ebola vaccine campaign targeting frontline workers

Sierra Leone recently embarked on a 10-day preventive vaccination campaign conducted by Ministry of Health in collaboration with the World Health Organization or WHO, Unicef and the global vaccine alliance, GAVI. Besides healthcare workers, the campaign targets Okada riders, traditional healers and security personnel, including military, police and immigration officers, who are considered as the most vulnerable groups to such infectious diseases.
